Members of the community who wanted to contribute toward the planning of the anniversary event came together with their ideas of how it should be. The consensus of everyone present was that it should be a peaceful and reflective event that could include singing by local school choirs and poetry. It was agreed that the event will start with a lantern parade that will process down the precinct into the bowling green at Boundary Road.
